Tanya Lee is the Founder and Executive Director of Julia Lee Performing Arts Academy (JLPAA), carrying forward the artistic and educational legacy of her aunt, the legendary performer Julia Lee. With more than 25 years of experience in operations, human resources, and business management, Tanya brings a strategic, process-driven approach to school leadership. Her background includes leading multimillion-dollar operations and high-performing teams in both corporate and nonprofit settings, including Fortune 500 companies. Tanya holds a Bachelor’s in Business Management and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D., expected 2027) from Grand Canyon University. Tanya’s expertise in human capital development has fostered positive, growth-oriented work environments with employee retention rates above 90%. She currently serves as PAC Chair for the Inland Empire with the California Charter Schools Association (CCSA) and as an Ambassador with the Lake Elsinore Chamber of Commerce for the past eight years. In these roles, she has engaged in community outreach, built strong partnerships, and collaborated with local government leaders, including the Mayor’s office and the state Senate and Assembly. As Executive Director, Tanya oversees operations, financial sustainability, and strategic growth, ensuring JLPAA thrives as a premier performing arts-focused charter school. Through her visionary leadership and personal connection to Julia Lee, she is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of artists while honoring her aunt’s enduring legacy.
