Zoranlly Burgos is a passionate lifelong learner and dedicated educator committed to closing the achievement gap. She began her career in education through Teach For America in 2011 and has since devoted herself to expanding educational equity and excellence.

Ms. Burgos holds a B.A. in Spanish from the Honors Program at The City College of New York, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education, and a Master’s Degree in School Leadership from Touro University. She is certified in New York State as both a School Building Leader and a School District Leader. Currently, she is pursuing a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction.

Her career began with Kaplan Tutoring, where she supported students from kindergarten through college across a wide range of subjects. Since then, she has held numerous instructional and leadership roles, including kindergarten teacher, Spanish teacher, Reading Content Specialist, Grade and Reading Content Lead, ELL Specialist, and Summer in the City Program Director.

Ms. Burgos has also founded two elementary schools in the Bronx - Brilla Veritas and Brilla Caritas - serving as Principal and leading each with a vision of academic excellence and joyful learning. Today, she continues to impact learning communities by mentoring and developing teachers and school leaders to thrive in their roles.

As a proud trailblazer for her family, Ms. Burgos is deeply committed to giving back to her community through education. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys organizing and spending quality time with her three children—Jordan, Jonah, and Stella.
