Dr. Tony Majors serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the Lead Public Charter School Network in Nashville, Tennessee. A 30 year veteran of public education, Dr. Majors has served as a teacher, coach, Principal and Assistant Superintendent before joining the Lead Network. His experience has afforded him the opportunity to lead the turnaround initiatives as Principal of Glencliff High School. He most recently served as Principal of Lead Academy High School and their efforts to recover from post pandemic low performance to a level 4 out of 5 on the Tennessee Value Added Accountability System. While best known for his leadership of school safety and wrap-around services initiatives, Dr. Majors has spearheaded school health initiatives, community school implementation, school discipline reform, community partnership development, in addition to his school leadership and academic improvement efforts. A native Nashvillian, he is happily married to his wife Leslye and the proud father of two young adults. One of his favorite quotes is “Do the best you can, in all the ways that you can, as long as you can”, which exemplifies his desire to improve educational and life outcomes for our children and their families.
