Sarah Thomas is a strategic leader with a record of scaling national programs, deep expertise in shaping bipartisan policy strategy, and driving measurable systems change. She has been a part of Goodwill since 2012, working for Goodwill organizations in Indiana and Houston. She has experience in a variety of roles, translating mission into action through relationship cultivation, guiding complex networks of nonprofit partners toward shared outcomes, and developing high-performing teams. Sarah has secured more than $70 million in grant funding for Goodwill and supported policy changes in 11 states throughout her career. Currently, she serves as the Senior Director of The Excel Center National Office for Goodwill Legacy Group. In this role, she works closely with Goodwill organizations to open Excel Center campuses, Goodwill’s high school for adults, in new locations. Sarah studied sociology and nonprofit management as an undergrad and holds a Master's in Philanthropic Studies from the Lilly School of Philanthropy at Indiana University. Sarah is fluent in English and German and speaks conversational Spanish.
