Sam Wilder brings over 25 years of finance and operations experience across both nonprofit and for-profit sectors. He currently serves as the Managing Director of Finance at Explore Schools, a network of high-performing charter schools in Brooklyn, where he leads the Finance and Procurement teams. Prior to Explore, Sam was Vice President of Finance at iMentor, a national mentoring organization, and Director of Business at Classical Charter Schools, a network of charter schools in the Bronx.

Sam is passionate about advancing financial technology and optimizing business processes to strengthen mission-driven organizations. He holds an M.B.A. from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business and a B.S. in Finance and Management from Emporia State University.

He lives in West Harlem with his husband, Paul, and their two dogs, Oliver and Wylie. Outside of work, Sam enjoys hiking in the Hudson Valley, cooking, running, and catching Broadway shows
