Nick continues to play a critical role by facilitating sustainable expansion and growth projects, and developing well-functioning financial infrastructure for the academy, while also managing the high standards and expectation that comes from CASLV accounting department. This is all in addition to Nick’s contributions to the opening of four CASLV campuses, where he effectively manages cash inflow thru available resources while recruiting staff for multiple campuses in a timely manner. Currently, there are seven CASLV campuses with the seventh under construction and set to open to students in the 2022-2023 school year as CASLV’s Cadence Campus. Nick ensures that financing is secured for both new and existing campuses. To do that, Nick led the issuance and management of school tax-exempt bond financing in the amount of $35 million for CASLV’s Cadence Campus construction, with an another $42 million secured for existing campuses, such as Sandy Ridge, Centennial Hills, Tamarus and Nellis Air Force Base. Nick’s hard work and dedication will bring additional education resources to our community with the opening of the new Cadence campus, which will serve over 1,800 students once complete. Nick’s resourcefulness was significantly felt on the Cadence campus project after he was able to secure the lowest interest-rate bond financing in the history of charter schools in Nevada.
Nick contributes time and resources back to the community through his role and participation in educational leadership throughout southern Nevada. Nick believes in the development of our community and the future of students, especially populations with less access to quality education opportunities. Additionally, Nick continues his efforts in the community through his personal volunteer efforts, serving as a founding board member at TEACH Las Vegas Charter School in southern Nevada. TEACH has a unique and noble mission to reach out to kids living in underserved areas with a main objective of closing the achievement gap among different areas and socioeconomic groups. Currently, one hundred percent of TEACH students are qualified for national school lunch program, locally referred to as the Free and Reduced Lunch (FRL) program.
