Matthew Ochoa is the Chief Financial Officer at RePublic Schools, a multi-state charter network rooted in low, achievement, and belongingness. With over 15 years of leadership experience in public education finance and operations, Matt has stewarded budgets as large as $70 million, led multi-year financial strategies, and developed teams and systems that have increased efficiency, transparency, and fiscal sustainability across diverse school communities.

Throughout their career, Matt has held senior finance roles at leading charter networks including Summit Public Schools, KIPP Massachusetts, and Brooke Charter Schools. In each role, he has been a driving force behind initiatives that improved operational outcomes—ranging from streamlined audits and upgraded payroll systems to scenario planning and cost-saving procurement strategies—while centering student and staff needs.
