Aliesha Maye is the Chief of School Operations at DC Prep, where she leads the daily operational strategy and execution across six schools in the network. In this role, she ensures that every school day runs seamlessly by overseeing critical systems and services, including enrollment, transportation, food service, student health, emergency readiness, procurement, compliance, field trip logistics, and schoolwide event planning. Her work supports the foundation upon which exceptional teaching and learning can thrive.

Before joining DC Prep, Aliesha served as the Principal of KIPP DC AIM Academy, where she spent 13 years growing as an educator and leader. She began her career there as a Teach For America Corps Member and went on to serve in multiple roles, including Spanish Teacher, 5th and 6th Grade Math Teacher, Grade Level Chair, and Assistant Principal. Her trajectory at AIM reflects a deep commitment to students, families, and the pursuit of educational equity.

Aliesha holds an Executive Master’s in Leadership from Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Aliesha is a proud wife and the mother of two free-thinking Black children—Honor and Glorious—who inspire her daily to lead with purpose, courage, and love.
