Angela Medina is the Chief Operations Officer at Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School, where she oversees the school’s finance, human resources, information technology, and administrative operations. Since joining the organization in 2022, she has helped strengthen the systems, processes, and infrastructure that support more than 2,000 adult learners across the Washington, DC region. With more than 16 years of leadership experience spanning both the technology and nonprofit sectors, Angela brings expertise in organizational strategy, operational excellence, change management, technology, and cross-functional leadership.

Prior to Carlos Rosario, Angela served as Director of Operations at Academy of Hope Adult Public Charter School, where she led operations, facilities, safety, and technology initiatives, including the successful implementation of virtual learning during the COVID-19 pandemic and a major facilities modernization project. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles within the technology industry, including positions with companies such as MicroStrategy and VMware. Her diverse professional background has shaped her passion for building high-performing teams, creating scalable systems, and aligning operations with mission-driven impact.

As the daughter of immigrants, Angela’s commitment to adult education is deeply personal. She is inspired by Carlos Rosario’s students, whose journeys often reflect her own family’s experience of pursuing opportunity through education. Angela holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from University of Maryland, College Park and a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management from Columbia University. She lives in Arlington, Virginia, with her husband, an active-duty Army officer, and their daughter. Through her leadership, she remains dedicated to advancing educational access, operational excellence, and opportunities that help individuals and communities thrive.
